Thank you for your interest in this congress website - if you are thinking of entering, there is hopefully enough here to encourage you. We have a good venue for chess, in an attractive town and it is a Dorset County Chess Association congress with a proud history. We are very keen to encourage a good entry, but please note that there are some entry conditions explained below and on the entry form
You will see in the details there are 3 sections again, with 4 trophies and at least 6 grading prizes - in fact, 12 prizes in all. The prize money will be increased if at all possible, depending on entries. Entries received before 16 Jan '15 qualified for a £2 discount.
Last year the total entry was 31 and we really need more to keep this event viable and on-going - so please do support it by entering if you possibly can. It would also be hugely appreciated if you could make the details known at your chess club and to other enthusiasts.
Entries to the website will be kept up to date most days.
If you prefer to enter in a paperless way, you can complete the form electronically and email back as an attachment. It appears on the page "How to Enter".
All tournaments are subject to ECF rules. Bronze ECF Members can play in tournament for no extra charge as a Dorset only event. Non ECF Members have to pay £6 extra ( if junior £4 )
